Fuel-efficient cars are a hot topic in nearly every corner of the automotive world these days. Mazda has taken a step of leadership by setting ambitious goals with regards to the fuel-efficiency of its own vehicles. Last week, the company said it will aim for all of its vehicles to be 30 percent more fuel efficient in the next seven years. The car maker is taking various steps to achieve that goal, including taking a fresh look at nearly every aspect of the vehicles it produces.
The first place to look for fuel-efficient cars is the engine. Mazda will add a variety of new and redesigned features, from a gasoline rotary engine to stop-start idle systems. Additionally, it will significantly reduce the weight of the vehicles themselves, which can do much in the way of fuel efficient driving.
Mazda’s leadership and commitment are excellent standards for other auto makers who seek to meet the ever changing needs of the driving public. However, if you’re interested in finding a fuel efficient vehicle right away, you don’t have to wait seven years. You just need to come to Ricart Automotive. We carry everything from hybrid SUVs to fuel-efficient cars like the Chevy Cobalt. Visit Ricart Automotive to reduce your carbon footprint and hit the road in style.

When deciding on an auto manufacturer for your family’s next car, truck, or van, it is instructive to know something about the car company on a corporate level as well. Recently, Mazda’s corporation released a biography of the vice president and chief operating officer for Mazda North American Operations (or MNAO), Mr. Keishi Egawa. Mr. Egawa guides the financial, administrative, and strategic actions of Mazda’s current and future North American car sales.
Mr. Egawa rose to his position as vice president in April of this year after over thirty years of experience with Mazda. In his past, Mr. Egawa has served through some important leadership position guiding the corporate, executive, financial and other general aspects of Mazda’s car sales throughout the world. This experience puts him in a prime position to guide Mazda’s car, SUV, and crossover sales here in the United States.

When it comes to developing new and improved vehicles, innovation is key. Mazda has consistently shown itself to be an international leader in automotive innovation. The company’s brand new show car, which will be on display later this year, is expected to be an impressive testament to Mazda’s design capabilities. While the name of the concept car has yet to be released, Mazda has distributed some information about the design inspiration for this highly stylized show car.
The design for the car is a new design direction Mazda called Nagare, a term meaning “flow” in Japanese. The Mazda show car is designed to match patterns of flow found in the natural world and elements. This particular car is designed to emanate the natural concept of crosswinds. While the car will not be mass produced for public consumption, the company does expect it to send a strong message to consumers, particularly those interested in both power and style when it comes to vehicles.
The Mazda concept car will be presented at the 2008 Mazda International Automobile’s Salon, but if you’re interested in a powerful and stylish Mazda of your own, you can come to Ricart Automotive. We offer a wide variety of cars and trucks that are both new and used, including many selections from Mazda and various other selective dealers. The Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan has granted Mazda Motor Corporation an award for its research in combustion engines. The awards have been granted since 1951, and function as a way of encouraging auto makers to research and explore new technologies. Mazda’s work on combustion mechanisms won it the “Outstanding Technical Paper Award” at the presentation ceremony, which is now in its 58th year.
More specifically, Mazda’s work sought to gain deeper insight into the actual act of combustion, particularly in diesel engines. Mazda hoped that by conducting research on the process itself, they could identify a more efficient way of removing soot from the emissions created by diesel exhaust systems. In doing so, Mazda actually developed a new analytical method to show how oxygen is very important in its involvement in the combustion and exhaust process. This work will probably lead to new higher efficiency diesel particulate filters, or DPFs, which will help keep the air cleaner.
Mazda’s innovation and curiosity will only continue to make their vehicles better as the years go by. For a Mazda, come to Ricart Automotive. We have new and used cards and trucks, and we even perform service and keep a wide stock of parts available. Ricart Automotive can help you and your family find the car of your dreams.

April was an important month with regards to sales reports from the major car manufacturers world wide. As profit statistics came in, manufacturers like Mazda and Nissan were quick to find trends and to see whose sales were improving. For Mazda, April was a particularly good month. Car companies are increasingly challenged to produce cars that meet consumer demands while still being relatively affordable and fuel efficient compared to the benefits those cars provide.
For Mazda, April 2008 was a particularly celebratory month. Sales figures showed the strongest April figures since 1995. Across North America, sales increased by double digits, just over twelve percent, from just the month before. This was largely driven by the success of the Mazda3. The Mazda3, a popular compact car also called the Mazda Axela, rose 65.7 percent after being called one of Kelley Blue Book’s “2008 Coolest New Cars Under $18,000.”
If you want a Mazda, whether it be a Mazda Axela, Mazda 6, Mazda Miata, or other vehicle, Ricart Automotive can help you find the car that’s right for you. We have new cars, previously owned cars, and a variety of credit options. Ricart Automotive is everything you need when it comes to a car dealership, and we care about you.

The many Mazda vehicles have earned the credit they deserve with a recent report published by the esteemed J.D. Power and Associates. J.D. Power’s “Initial Quality Study” found Mazda to be the most improved brand across the board. They also awarded the MX-5, which is perhaps known better as the Mazda Miata, “highest in class” for the judging category of compact sport cars.
The Miata was highest in its class in last year’s J.D. Power study too, and it also won the category the year prior. But perhaps more exciting is the fact that every single other Mazda vehicle improved this year, boasting fewer problems and higher quality consistently. It is this high level of improvement, particularly from vehicles like the Mazda CX-7 and Mazda3 that drove the “most improved brand” recognition. The Mazda3 is one of the company’s best sellers, is a sub-compact that comes in both four door and five door options. The CX-7 is a crossover SUV.
Come to Ricart Automotive if you’re looking for a Mazda. The company has shown continually its will to constantly improve the driving experience. Ricart Automotive would like to improve the car buying experience. Whether you seek a new or previously owned vehicle, we can help you find what you want within your desires and your budget.

Mazda North American Operations has recently announced its sales figures for May. These figures, which compare automobile sales in the month of May 2008 to sales from May 2007, also measure year to date figures, as well as comparing the relative sales of various models and vehicle types. In these latest figures show general growth across the company, and particular growth in several specific Mazda vehicles.
Mazda reports that its North American sales have been up compared to last year at this time. The 4.2 percent increase represented over 1,000 additional vehicles taken home by North American drivers. Overall 2008 sales are also up, rising 1.9 percent higher than last year’s year-to-date figures as reported in May of 2007. Mazda is able to trace much of this growth to the popularity of small sized vehicles. Mazda has proven to be strong in such vehicles, which offer increased maneuverability as well as a feature particularly important to today’s drivers: fuel efficiency.
If you’re looking for a fuel efficient car, be it a Mazda or some other brand, there is a good chance you can find it at Ricart Automotive. We work hard to bring the families of central Ohio vehicles that meet their technological and driving needs.
