Fuel-efficient cars are a hot topic in nearly every corner of the automotive world these days. Mazda has taken a step of leadership by setting ambitious goals with regards to the fuel-efficiency of its own vehicles. Last week, the company said it will aim for all of its vehicles to be 30 percent more fuel efficient in the next seven years. The car maker is taking various steps to achieve that goal, including taking a fresh look at nearly every aspect of the vehicles it produces.
The first place to look for fuel-efficient cars is the engine. Mazda will add a variety of new and redesigned features, from a gasoline rotary engine to stop-start idle systems. Additionally, it will significantly reduce the weight of the vehicles themselves, which can do much in the way of fuel efficient driving.
Mazda’s leadership and commitment are excellent standards for other auto makers who seek to meet the ever changing needs of the driving public. However, if you’re interested in finding a fuel efficient vehicle right away, you don’t have to wait seven years. You just need to come to Ricart Automotive. We carry everything from hybrid SUVs to fuel-efficient cars like the Chevy Cobalt. Visit Ricart Automotive to reduce your carbon footprint and hit the road in style.

Fred Ricart knew from his days as a child how important it was to appreciate the workings of a high quality engine. As a young boy, Fred Ricart preferred to spend his free time in his father’s shop, watching the mechanics hard at work. Now as the leader of the regionally-recognized Ricart Automotive, Fred Ricart gets to work hard every day to see that every aspect of Ricart Automotive works hard to benefit customers.

When deciding on an auto manufacturer for your family’s next car, truck, or van, it is instructive to know something about the car company on a corporate level as well. Recently, Mazda’s corporation released a biography of the vice president and chief operating officer for Mazda North American Operations (or MNAO), Mr. Keishi Egawa. Mr. Egawa guides the financial, administrative, and strategic actions of Mazda’s current and future North American car sales.
Mr. Egawa rose to his position as vice president in April of this year after over thirty years of experience with Mazda. In his past, Mr. Egawa has served through some important leadership position guiding the corporate, executive, financial and other general aspects of Mazda’s car sales throughout the world. This experience puts him in a prime position to guide Mazda’s car, SUV, and crossover sales here in the United States.
If you’re looking for a Mazda in the local market, come to Ricart Automotive. We offer a great selection of Mazda cars, in both new and used conditions. One good way of evaluating the success and quality of a vehicle is to gauge the feedback it has been granted by people who currently own and drive the vehicle. The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer stands up to this test quite impressively. In fact, the Lancer was voted this year’s most successful compact car in the realm of owner satisfaction. In the Vehicle Satisfaction Awards, which are conducted by the automotive consulting firm AutoPacific Inc., the Mitsubishi Lancer was recognized by being awarded the “2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Award.”
The Lancer has gotten great reviews from both drivers and industry analysts alike. It first came on the market in 1973, and in the more than thirty years it has been sold, the Lancer has reached a sale mark of more than six million vehicles. After its complete redesign going into the 2007 model year, the successful compact car has been more popular than ever.
For a new or used Mitsubishi Lancer for yourself or your family, come to Ricart Automotive. We can set you up with a new or previously owned vehicle by Mitsubishi or a wide range of other manufacturers. Here at Ricart Automotive, we believe in helping people find cars and trucks that meet their individual driving and financial needs and expectations. When it comes to developing new and improved vehicles, innovation is key. Mazda has consistently shown itself to be an international leader in automotive innovation. The company’s brand new show car, which will be on display later this year, is expected to be an impressive testament to Mazda’s design capabilities. While the name of the concept car has yet to be released, Mazda has distributed some information about the design inspiration for this highly stylized show car.
The design for the car is a new design direction Mazda called Nagare, a term meaning “flow” in Japanese. The Mazda show car is designed to match patterns of flow found in the natural world and elements. This particular car is designed to emanate the natural concept of crosswinds. While the car will not be mass produced for public consumption, the company does expect it to send a strong message to consumers, particularly those interested in both power and style when it comes to vehicles.
The Mazda concept car will be presented at the 2008 Mazda International Automobile’s Salon, but if you’re interested in a powerful and stylish Mazda of your own, you can come to Ricart Automotive. We offer a wide variety of cars and trucks that are both new and used, including many selections from Mazda and various other selective dealers. Fred Ricart is the face of Ricart Automotive, but he’s got some solid competition from his talented wife, Lynne Ricart. Fred Ricart has been running the business of Ricart Automotive for years, since the company was started by his father, Paul, when Fred was just a young boy. Fred was known for his charismatic and memorable commercials, but it wasn’t until he injured himself in a motocross accident that Lynne had her chance to shine. When she did, she really raised the bar!
Lynne made her Ricart television debut in 1991. Fred was planning a new set of television spots, but his motorcycle injury literally sent him head over heels, causing him to break not one but both wrists. But the commercials needed to be made, so Lynne stepped up to the plate and became the “Jeepers Cheapers” Ricart girl. Since then, she’s done everything from “Ting Tang, got to have a Mustang” and “Mr. VanMan” to “Ricart Junction” and “Flash Back Dealin’.”
Through the work of Lynne and Fred Ricart, all of the communities in central Ohio have the opportunity to purchase high quality new and used cars from a wide variety of manufacturers. Whether you’ve seen our commercials or heard about our deals from a friend, come to Ricart Automotive to visit us yourself and see what we can do for you.

Safe driving and being a good worker have one very important thing in common: education. Chevrolet understands this connection. In an effort to encourage high school seniors to fully finish their fourth and final year of high school, Chevy paired with Tennessee schools in as many as twenty six counties to help send the message of education to those seniors. The program, entitled “Drive For Perfection” is now in its second year, and both Chevy and the Tennessee Department of Education are pleased with its results.
Drive For Perfection challenges seniors to have perfect school attendance for the entire year. All senior students who meet that challenge are entered into a drawing to win a Chevy Cobalt. The five students whose names are drawn will receive a brand new 2008 Chevy Cobalt sedan compliments of Chevrolet. This year, just about five hundred students made the grade, attending all 180 school days. Five of those lucky students will drive to work or school next fall in a brand new Chevy Cobalt.
The Cobalt is a popular vehicle, both with new and experienced drivers alike. Ricart Automotive carries new and used Cobalts. Come down to a Ricart Automotive lot near you to see if you like this vehicle as much as these lucky students undoubtedly will.

Hyundai is getting special recognition in Alabama for it support of minority-owned suppliers. The “Corporation of the Year” award was granted to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama by the South Regions Minority Business Council. In fact, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama actually has a specific employee on their team dedicated to just this type of project. Keith Eakins is the HMMA’s assistant manager of minority supplier development. He accepted the award at a reception last week in Alabama.
By working with suppliers owned by minorities, Hyundai seeks to open the industry to anyone who is dedicated to the work of automotive supply. This shows a willingness to truly engage with the communities whose drivers support the company. An equally beneficial relationship such as HMMA has been able to create is helpful to the corporation at large, to communities to specifically, and even to the individual employees and drivers in those communities.
Ricart Automotive is proud to sells Hyundais that support the local communities of Ohio as well. By working with a larger manufacturer that has good business in mind, we help communities here and throughout the United States to move forward successfully.
