Hyundai has announced their vehicle sales figures for the month of June. If there’s any doubt that the American economy has the potential to improve, Hyundai’s improvements this month should prove the value of car sales strength. Hyundai sold almost one thousand more vehicles in June of 2008 than they had in June of 2007. The three cars leading the Hyundai sales increase were the Hyundai Accent, which sold 70% more than last year, Hyundai Elantra, which sold 51% more than last year, and Hyundai Sonata, which sold 12% more than last year.

The Accent is a subcompact that has been on the market since 1995. Now in its third generation, the Accent is known for its excellent performance among small cars. The Hyundai Elantra is a compact car that goes back to 1991. It was Consumer Reports’ “top pick” in 2008 and is lauded for being very reliable. The Sonata, a mid-sized Sudan, has long been a staple of the Hyundai consumer market.
